We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Manager to join our Smart Infrastructure team specialising in our Low Voltage product offering, in either our Brisbane or Perth Office. In this role, you will be the Siemens Low Voltage (Electrical) Products Business Development Representative focusing on early involvement and specification with Major Project Pursuits in key customer verticals in both Industrial (Mining, Metals & Minerals, Water & Wastewater, Renewables) and Commercial (Buildings and Data Centers) sectors.
You will also manage relationships with diverse customer categories including End Users, Consultants, EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, Construction), D&C Electrical Contractors, and Partnered Switchboard Manufacturers. This is a pivotal role aimed at driving business growth by generating specifications, pursuing projects, and aligning sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Early identification of Major Projects, key involved companies and Stakeholders relative to the project
• Establish strong relationships with key players across industrial and commercial sectors, including end-users, consultants, and contractors.
• Develop and secure specifications for major projects within Queensland or Western Australia.
• Identify, track, and pursue new business opportunities. Set and execute tailored sales strategies.
• Work closely with distributors to ensure pricing alignment, stock availability, and follow-up support.
• Lead and manage relationships with industry partners, as well as 3rd party switchboard manufacturers.
• Use SieSales and manage monthly territory forecasting (FC) to track performance and align with business goals.
• Organize and participate in networking events to strengthen customer relationships.
• Ensure alignment with distributors across territories, including budget matching.
• Attend semi-annual interstate training sessions and management meetings to stay aligned with broader business goals.
What We’re Looking For:
• Proven Experience in Major Project Pursuits
• The ability to work with both internal teams and our distributors networks
• Proven experience in business development or sales, particularly in the industrial or commercial sectors.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, distribution, and product applications.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills with a network of industry contacts.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple stakeholders and partners in complex, solution-oriented sales environments.
• Goal-driven with the ability to meet targets and contribute to overall business growth.
• Experience with forecasting and CRM systems such as SieSales is a plus.
