At Siemens Cranes, we are at the forefront of transforming the harbor crane industry. Join our team and be part of a global leader in crane electrification and automation. We are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to help us lead the way in automated harbor crane projects around the world.

Your responsibilities
  • Executing testing and commissioning activities for automation and control, motors, and drives.
  • Planning and executing work within deadlines, budgets, and required equipment.
  • Providing valuable feedback and suggestions to improve future projects and reduce commissioning time.
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation.
  • Collaborating closely with product, project, and sales departments, both locally and internationally.
  • Supervising or guiding commissioning staff when needed.
  • Leading customer and operator training sessions.
  • Ensuring compliance with environment, health and safety (EHS) rules.
What you bring to the table
  • Hold a completed MBO/HBO degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a similar field.
  • Have at least five years of experience in commissioning complex machinery, such as cranes.
  • Possess knowledge of automation systems like Simatic S7, TIA Portal, WinCC.
  • Have experience with electrical power systems (Medium and High Voltage).
  • Are proficient in both written and spoken English; Dutch is a strong preference.
  • Have excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Are comfortable working at heights and willing to travel frequently.
