At our factory network Siemens AG develops and manufactures electric motors for the global market. Our target customers are in the field of automation technology, in the automotive industry and in the field of intra-logistics. To further drive our successful growth, we will expand our locations in a targeted manner over the next few years. The topics of digitalization and simulations support us in planning for the future and in implementation.
Based in Oradea, we are looking for a “Press Engineer” that helps us optimize and manage our press activities for the factory in Oradea.
What part will you play?
· You will manage the pressing equipment of our electric motors manufacturing.
· In addition to troubleshooting, this also includes calibrating and upgrading of the pressing equipment.
· You are monitoring and optimizing the technical parameters of presses.
· Supervising the production process and make sure it is conformed with the technical specifications.
· You coordinate the activities of preventive and corrective maintenance.
· You create and maintain list of spare and wear parts that are critical for the good operation of the equipment’s that you oversee.
· You propose solutions for optimizing the use of materials and energy.
· You collaborate with the quality department in the analysis of unconformities.
· You update the documentation of the equipment’s.
· You keep in touch with suppliers of equipment’s when needed.
· You will act as project manager and will be involved in pressing equipment transfer or procurement.
· We are continually developing, so you will also be involved in the development of the systems.
· You will connect machines and sensors to our data ecosystem and continuously develop it further with your feedback.
· You support the decision-making and optimization processes in our factory based on visualization, data engineering and data analytics.
What you need to make real what matters.
· You have successfully completed a degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics.
· Alternatively, you have comparable training and many years of professional experience.
· If you already have knowledge in automation technology, that is an advantage.
· Very good proficiency in English and / or German (spoken & written) is an absolute must to this role since you work in an international environment.
· Able to work autonomously and be a proactive problem solver with effective problem identification and solution skills
