Export Control Business Partner
To strengthen and support our ongoing growth, we are looking for an experienced Export Control Business Partner to join our Legal and Compliance department, based out of any of the Nordic countries.
Siemens Legal and Compliance advises the operating business and central units of the local company on all legal and compliance-related matters of the country.
The team acts as a close partner to Siemens' business leaders and supports them in achieving business goals, developing and implementing relevant legal strategies. Legal Compliance Export Control ensures compliance with legal requirements for all export processes to foreign countries for the Siemens Operating Companies.
We are looking for a colleague to be the Export Control Business Partner for Sweden and Norway. You will join a (virtual) team of dedicated compliance professionals throughout the Nordics and in our headquarter organization and can look forward to working with committed colleagues who appreciate teamwork, flexibility, and having fun at work – and we can’t wait to welcome you at Siemens!
You’ll make a difference by
- Ensuring adherence to global trade compliance strategies and export regulations.
- Supporting the Lead Country organization in Export Control matters and ensuring adherence to export control requirements and Siemens’ Internal Control Program.
- Cooperating with Siemens Export Control units and regulatory bodies.
- Engaging with senior leaders on trade compliance strategies.
- Providing guidance and training on export compliance.
- Collaborating with Legal Compliance and Siemens Regional Companies.
- Driving continuous improvement in Export Control processes.
Your preferred qualities
- A minimum of 3 years of experience within the export control field, either in-house from a global company, or as a consultant/lawyer or similar.
- Extensive functional legal knowledge of US, China and European Union export control regulations.
- Experience in drafting formal correspondence with government agencies and strong working experience with export regulatory bodies and trade associations.
- Knowledge of the business application of import/export regulations and the ability to identify and address trade compliance issues.
- Your English language skills are on a business fluent level, additional Scandinavian language would be a plus.
- Ability to communicate, negotiate, influence, and implement changes within the business.
- Knowledge of Siemens Internal Control Program would be an advantage.
