Siemens Government Technologies, Inc. (SGT) is seeking a self-driven individual to complement our team as a Proposal Coordinator/Technical Writer for this dynamic and rapidly changing organization. This remote position is part of a cross-functional team and reports to the Director of Captures and Proposals.
As the Proposal Coordinator/ Technical Writer, you will work with Account Management Executives, Project Developers, Engineers, Operations, SMEs, Contracts, Pricing, and HR staff members in developing written proposal responses, helping shape the proposal strategy, identifying competitive differentiators, defining the flow, and organization of the proposal to create the storyline for a winning proposal. You will also help coordinate proposal preparation activities and be responsible for a timely submission that is not just compliant but captures the essence of the customer’s requirements.
Proposal Coordination:
•Review proposal responses to ensure responsiveness to requirements, thoroughness, accuracy, quality, and effective format.
•Technical writing for proposals.
• Complete other job duties and responsibilities to be assigned from time to time.
•Identify gaps in proposal requirements and work with team to address gaps for a compliant response.
•Develop template / outline for task order and proposal responses based on federal government requirements.
•May need to manage proposal efforts including planning, scheduling, leading Shipley Color Team reviews, and kick-off and status meetings.
•Edit/proofread completed proposals for consistency and quality, including compelling content, grammar, spelling, and graphical layout.
•Create pre-proposal artifacts such as the compliance checklist, schedule, contact list, writer’s package, etc.
•Help organize and lead a proposal team consisting of internal personnel and external partners.
•Monitor and manage proposal compliance with government instructions and deadlines.
•Responsible for timeliness and quality control of proposals.
•Collaborate with and monitor progression of associated tasks and other internal departments including contracts and pricing to ensure terms and conditions are appropriately addressed.
•Research and gather data, proposal artifact re-use, and assistance with appropriate use of graphics and non-prose communications techniques.
•Support development of proposal resource library (both text and visual aids).
•Complete other job duties and responsibilities to be assigned from time to time.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
•A bachelor’s degree in relevant skill of study or a minimum five years of relevant experience in technical writing and coordinating proposals.
•Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
•Demonstrated experience working in teams and collaborating effectively with others
•Acute attention to detail
•Working knowledge/experience with MS Office, Including Microsoft Teams, SharePoint.
•Must be available to work extended hours and weekends (if necessary) in support of proposal schedules and
•Accustomed to working under tight deadlines in order to meet business needs
•Previous experience writing for and/or coordinating proposals for federal government agencies, including Sources Sought, RFIs. RFQs and RFPs, etc.
•Understanding of IT software and hardware and typical USGov customer implementation and usage.
•Ability to ingest technical product, services, solutions capabilities and communicate with fidelity.

•Salesforce.com
•APMP Certification
•Experience in Shipley Color Team Reviews
•Highly Desirable (one or more):
•Understanding of OT/ICS software and hardware as applied to Facility systems.
•Understanding of OT/ICS software and hardware as applied to Industrial/Production systems.
•Understanding of OT/ICS software and hardware as applied to Power Distribution and/or Microgrid systems.
•Understanding of Cyber-secure IT and/or OT software and hardware implementation and usage.

•The salary range for this position is $97,300.00 to $118,040.00. An annual incentive target also is part of the compensation package for this position. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
