The Maintenance Manager position will be responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of a full-service day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance operation for packaged material handling equipment in a new automated warehouse. The posting is in Bowling Green, KY. We operate 24/7/365-day basis (excluding designated holidays) and we require people to live within a reasonable commute to Bowling Green, KY. This position will report to the offsite Siemens Operations Manager.
We are looking for a Maintenance Manager. This position will be based at the Henkel, Bowling Green KY Distribution Center.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Developing roadmaps to provide forward looking recommendations to ensure we are utilizing resources effectively and efficiently to drive increased system and equipment reliability and excellent customer service.
- Developing tools, reporting/dashboards to provide key performance indicator visibility to business management.
- Developing and managing direct report employee safety programs and procedures.
- Overseeing assigned (parts of) technologically demanding and complex processes in an automated material movement warehouse environment, which requires specialized, experienced and well vocationally trained work force.
- Be fiscally responsible in managing costs and maintaining the Maintenance budget.
- Overseeing all assigned maintenance operations across all working shifts. Plans, prioritizes and manages related resources and measures.
- Primary contact and interface with end customer site manager, intra-organizational/company contacts and functionally oriented external contacts.
- Demonstrating a strong customer focus by listening to, recognizing, and responding to customer input in an effective, timely and courteous manner to ensure that client’s needs have been met and that the product/solution is fully functioning according to specification.
- Reviewing maintenance requirements, materials / equipment planning to meet maintenance project management schedule.
- Coordinate maintenance services delivery to meet customer operational schedules.
- Supervise maintenance technicians, subcontractor’s staff, including but not limited to the following: assigning and checking work, planning tasks, establishing objectives / priorities.
- Taking initiative as problems and opportunities arise by anticipating and meeting customer needs and company expectations.
- Mentor staff and develop processes to foster a controlled environment with technical depth that support current and future maintenance and reliability objectives.
- Report metrics in an accurate and timely manner. Manage maintenance documentation and performs other duties as assigned by executive leadership.
- Optimize maintenance approach and procedures to continuously improve the maintenance Key Performance Indicators.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in one of the following: Electrical Engineering, Control(s) Engineering & Mechanical Engineering
- 8+ years experience working in Industrial Maintenance.
- 1+ years of previous project delivery experience (installation, commissioning, testing, and/or maintenance activities) in industrial environment
- Proven experience in team leading/management
- Limited travel required<5% mostly for training
- Experience and knowledge of PLC, Control Systems, Automation, low voltage drives, low voltage motors and small gearboxes
- Software/electrical skilled (Basic Siemens PLC functions, E-Plan reading and understanding)
- Must be able to identify critical operational topics and improve the concept
- Troubleshooting and root cause techniques
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with employees, co-workers, sub-contractors, partners and clients.
- MSOffice skills required. (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, Outlook,…)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Siemens Automation and controls is preferred
- Windows 10 to Windows 2019 server knowledge
- Virtualization with Hyper V (hosts, storages, failover cluster, disaster strategies)
- Network knowledge (e.g. command line interface to switches)
- Knowledge of linus (for monitoring and wifi controller)
- Backup and restore experience including test strategies and recovery strategies (using Windows Backup and/ or Altaro Backup)
- Windows and firmware updates within the complete cluster/ IT system
- Coordination and planning of preventive maintenance activities
- Inventory handling for repair parts and new devices

- The pay range for this position is $100,450 - $172,200 and the annual incentive will be 10% of the base salary. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications and premium geographic location.
