You will ensure that our equipment is delivered to customer satisfaction. You will be away from home a lot and travel to all our sites worldwide. The working language is English.

Create a better #tomorrow with us

At Siemens, you are in the middle of the energy transition and the further increase in digitalisation and automation in the energy world. You have a strong organisation behind you that is making great strides in this transition and can make a real impact. Our project scope includes engineering, manufacturing, installation, testing and commissioning of power distribution systems such as medium and low voltage switches, transformers, busway systems, protection relays, automation and monitoring systems and modular structures such as E-Houses and Skids.

What is your assignment?
  • You will be Siemens' technical representative on site and attend the various commissioning meetings.
  • Realise the commissioning process according to the agreed performance indicators (safe, on schedule, at the required quality level, within budget).
  • Oversees, coordinates and leads the commissioning team.
  • Verifies commissioning results against technical requirements.
  • Takes care of administrative tasks on site (e.g. planning work, updating drawings in line with changes on site, closing open points in commissioning systems).
  • Assesses risks and opportunities on site (economic, organisational or contractual risks).
  • Oversees compliance with standards, regulations, laws, quality and EHS guidelines.
  • For smaller projects, you take care of testing and commissioning yourself. For the larger projects, you manage a commissioning team that takes care of implementation.

The team
The Site Support team is responsible for the execution of projects on site and consists of Commissioning Engineers and Site Supervisors. The team consists of 15 people.

Our offer: entrepreneurial, challenging and free
At Siemens, we stand for quality and entrepreneurship, which is reflected in the working environment and (international) relationships. In return for high expectations, we offer freedom and flexibility: you organise your work as it suits you. Would you like to develop further? Choose a training course on our digital "Learning World" or discuss it during a "Growth Talk" with Lisa and you will know exactly what options are available to you. You will also get:
  • a salary appropriate to your background, a fixed 13th month, daily allowance and an additional EUR 1,000 per month travel allowance.
  • you will be working on the most exciting projects in this fast-paced market.
  • enthusiastic colleagues and a buddy who will show you around within the group and the company.
  • an annual health budget of EUR 150 and participation in our attractive share programme.
  • you can compile part of your employment conditions yourself using the Benefits Budget, which you receive in addition to your monthly salary. The budget is 22.63% on top of your gross monthly salary, including 8% holiday allowance. You can use the budget for more leave (e.g. for the holiday of your dreams), for an extra payment at a time of your choice or for tax-favourable expenses, such as our bicycle or sustainability plan.
  • at Siemens, you will receive 20 days of leave and 6 ADV days in the process.

What do you bring to the table?
  • A bachelor electrical engineering degree towards energy engineering or vocational educaton electrical engineering degree with significant experience.
  • Safety is in your DNA, you are confident, positive and have a 'can do' mentality.
  • Detailed knowledge of testing and commissioning power distribution systems (medium & low voltage switchgear and transformers).
  • Experience testing and commissioning secondary systems (CTs, VTs, protection relays, automation and control systems and bus communication protocols).
  • Experience with relevant testing and commissioning methods, equipment and reporting (e.g. primary and secondary injection, ductor, isolation resistance, HiPot, fault finding and functional testing).
  • A convincing commissioning track record and expertise in data centre projects (or the energy/utility sector) is a big advantage.
  • Willingness to work abroad for extended periods of time and in possession of driving licence.
Even if you do not meet all the requirements but have a rock-solid motivation, we invite you to apply anyway.
