Role: Software Architect – DevOps

What part will you play?
DevOps ecosystem: Establish and govern DevOps ecosystem for Software as a Service (AWS and Azure cloud) applications in the energy automation domain. The Ecosystem shall provide highly scalable and performant DevOps solutions to the applications that are part of it.
Guidelines: Create, maintain, and communicate DevOps guidelines based on industrial best practices for the product teams. Ensure that the guidelines are followed in the product teams by conducting periodic reviews.
Product planning and reviews: Create product specific DevOps plans covering continuous integration (CI), continuous delivery (CD), and continuous monitoring (CM) activities. Guide product team members on the DevOps practices and conduct periodic product specific reviews on the DevOps implementation maturity.
Technology roadmap: Analyze emerging technology trends and based on which develop and maintain a comprehensive technology roadmap for DevOps Ecosystem. The technology roadmap shall contain the tech stack, reference architecture, security guidelines, and industrial best practices.
Proof of concepts: Evaluate various DevOps concepts (emerging & existing) considering both technological and commercial aspects and provide recommendations to the product teams

10+ years of experience in design, execution, and maintenance of DevOps solutions for cloud applications.
Strong understanding of architectural requirements and development processes of cloud applications (SaaS & PaaS) supporting multi-tenancy, virtualization, containers, orchestration, and scalability.
Strong working knowledge with containers (e.g., Docker) and container management frameworks (e.g., Kubernetes). The experience shall include build, deploy, and maintain highly available systems on Kubernetes (AWS EKS mandatory, Azure AKS optional).
Hands on experience in deploying and maintaining high availability distributed infrastructure in AWS with resources offered by AWS. Knowledge of Azure cloud infrastructure has an added weightage.
Knowledge of DevOps cloud security concepts, DevSecOps, and GitOps
Good working experience with infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform), and Azure DevOps YAML Pipelines.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code concepts.
Advanced experience in infrastructure monitoring of AWS (optionally Azure) components and Kubernetes clusters using tools like Azure Insights, Grafana, and Prometheus
Practical experience with the tools and technologies – Git, Helm, Kubectl, Flux, ArgoCD, Terraform, Azure DevOps, SonarQube
Advanced understanding of cloud network, data security, data isolation, firewall, VPN, VPC, IAM, subnets, and multi-tenant environment
Ability to understand of end-user and business needs and translate these needs into solutions.
Expertise in tradeoff analysis, recommending approaches, and defining guidelines.
Strong knowledge and experience in Agile/Lean practices
Good communication skills (oral and written) and a quick learner of new technologies and trends.
Ability to effectively communicate, influence, and interact with various stakeholders.
