As a Cybersecurity Software Engineer (Developer), a developer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and performing complex technical assignments related to Cybersecurity within applications for Energy Management software systems. You will work within a Cybersecurity focused development team in a global software product development organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Cybersecurity solutions for Energy Management software systems
- Collaborate with the Cybersecurity development team to ensure the adoption of best practices and high-quality software development processes
- Write documents for new project tasks, such as design notes and testing procedures
- Provide effort estimates to Product Owner for new project tasks
- Support test and continuous integration activities
- Work independently and be self-motivated
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with secure coding practices, NIST standards, and penetration testing
- Contribute to incident response activities
- Stay updated with the latest Cybersecurity technologies, trends, and industry standards
- Correcting bugs with Cybersecurity mindset
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in Software Engineering, Project Deployment, and R&D solutions
- Experience in Cybersecurity technologies, including Identity and Access Management, PKI/Encryption, Certificate Management, Static and Dynamic Code Analysis, and Endpoint Security
- Knowledge of common standards and processes, including secure coding practices, NIST, penetration testing, and incident response
- Initiative, creativity, analytical skills, strategic thinking, and ability to work in international teams
- Proficient in written and spoken English (including security terminology) combined with good interpersonal skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to learn quickly and adapt to a fast-paced environment
- Platforms: Windows and Linux
- Programming Languages: C/C++, Python
- Experience with real-time software is a plus
- Industry standard Cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, others) is a plus.
