Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Quality Inspector to join Siemens Limited, Gurgaon on a company contractual basis. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting and reviewing electrical and instrumentation items, conducting vendor assessments, facilitating new vendor enrollments, and reviewing Quality Assurance Plans (QAP). With 8-12 years of relevant experience, the inspector will play a crucial role in ensuring that all E&I systems and components meet Siemens’ quality standards and project specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough inspections and reviews of electrical and instrumentation equipment, components, and systems to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Conduct vendor assessments and assist in the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors, ensuring adherence to Siemens' quality and technical standards.
  • Review and verify engineering drawings, technical documents, and material certifications related to E&I systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors to assess and review Quality Assurance Plans (QAP) to ensure they meet project specifications.
  • Document and report inspection findings, maintain quality records, and prepare detailed reports.
  • Identify non-conformities, facilitate corrective actions, and ensure timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Work closely with procurement, engineering, and project teams to address and resolve quality concerns.
  • Participate in quality audits, vendor evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 8-12 years of experience in electrical & instrumentation quality inspection, vendor assessment, and QAP review.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, components, and industry standards.
  • Experience in vendor management, including evaluation, performance review, and onboarding.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality documents.
  • Proficiency in using quality inspection tools and techniques for electrical and instrumentation systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering is preferred.
  • Additional Skills:
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and ensure timely completion of quality-related activities.
  • Familiarity with Siemens E&I systems and quality processes is an advantage.
