In our quest to revolutionize the world’s infrastructure, we’re seeking a dynamic Supplier Quality Manager for our Product Technology unit within our Siemens SI Buildings Organization.
Location: Zug, Switzerland HQ
The Role
- Acts as a value-add orchestrator to define and continuously improve quality of suppliers and their deliveries
- Guides and drives the supplier quality organization and foster the cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Quality Management, Manufacturing, Logistics, R&D organization and/or Project Management
- Ensures compliance of the SQM function with applicable legal, regulatory and customer requirements to ensure products meet highest standards of quality and reliability
Your new responsibilities
- Defines value-oriented Supplier Quality (SQ) strategy including a digitalization vision.
- Drives efficiency by implementing automated, AI based and digital end-to-end workflows ensuring seamless information flow across entire supply chain
- Ensures availability of relevant processes and supplier relevant data and fully exploits business intelligence using state-of-the-art advanced analytics and AI
- Identifies deviations and drive risk management for decision making and/or risk mitigate measures
- Ensures and controls implementation of prevention oriented SQM related methods and risk management in supplier related projects and products
- Ensures implementation and continuously improve the supplier quality part of the Integrated Management System (IMS) within the SQM community
- Contributes to the company's sustainability strategy and eco-system principles in the supply chain
- Be responsible for the Material Compliance, Declaration Management as well as Supplier Support (BOMcheck)
- Drives and ensures SQM team (10 members) competency management and training system for required competencies in supply chain and quality management as well as in data analytics
- Initiates continuous improvement actions and lessons learned across assigned SI B PRO QM SQM organizational units
Your talents and experience
- Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree preferred or relevant business or technical experience
- 5 to 10 years of similar experience ideally gained in a Global Company / similar industry
- Be a proactive leader with a strong background in Quality Management
- Building management experience, or larger building automation knowledge, including cloud are a big plus to have
- Experience within a Building Automation, IoT and connected devices preferred
- Product development knowledge is a clear advantage
- Prior experience in team management is a plus
- Motivation, entrepreneurship, ownership, detail oriented, strategic thinker, continuous improvement mindset
- Bring enthusiasm for quality and innovation, eager to explore new ideas and challenge limits
- Team player, being constructive, good at negotiating, and seeking agreements
- Structured and organized
- Fluency in English, German is a plus
