Then come and join our global digital innovation and development center as Data Scientist (m/f/d) to contribute to the success of Siemens Healthineers Procurement Digital Innovation and Development Center.
Your global tasks and responsibilities:
You are mainly involved in the development of solutions for the procurement organization, where some machine learning, AI algorithms and software programming (also low code tools) are required for building end user applications. You work pure analytics projects, also solve classification and prediction problems, and build customized solutions derived from LLM and generative AI solutions.
Your tasks and responsibilities are the following:
- Data Engineering: you acquire business knowledge, identify valuable data sources in various data warehouses, perform ETL processes, create and maintain data pipelines, extract meaningful insights with data modelling and programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R.
- Data Analytics: You apply various statistical models in providing both descriptive and predictive insights. You present actionable insights using advanced data visualization techniques, and programming languages like Python. You transform processed data into polished presentation-ready visuals.
- Data Science: you develop and maintain analytical models, evaluating technologies, optimizing algorithms, experimenting, validating and updating models for classification and prediction. You develop algorithms iteratively, building in the right level of quality and complexity to solve the business problem at hand.
- Technology and Solution Development: You create sustainable and impactful solutions, transforming data to value. You design adequate web based front ends, for complex dashboards and automated workflows. You code, debug, test, document, provide support and training.
- Innovation: You are continuously identifying and shaping future topics and conducting benchmarking & trend scouting in the field of Science Information Technologies (Generative AI, Blockchain, Metaverse, Computer Vision). You actively participate in conferences, Siemens data science tribes.
Your qualifications and experience:
- You successfully completed studies in data science, mathematics, (business) computer science, statistics, or a comparable education of master level.
- You acquired solid professional experience in the areas of AI/ML, Business Analytics, Big Data and ideally in procurement or supply chain management.
- You have strong knowledge and experience in databasis, data cloud, data mining, data analytics, robot process automation, and artificial intelligence (ML, NLP, Conversational Platform) and strong experience in SQL, and Python, Azure, web crawling.
- You master CI/CD concepts, AI/ML frameworks and libraries. Experience in Snowflake, Github, Azure, Databricks, ChatGPT are of advantages for the position.
- You can rely on your solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modeling techniques, data mining concepts, and API integration.
- You acquired proficiency in data preprocessing, feature selection, dimensionality reduction, and feature engineering techniques.
- You are familiar with Data and AI regulatory compliance.
- You have an excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, data structures, and algorithms. Knowledge in IT Software Development is a plus.

- With strong stakeholders and users focus, excellent communication and presentation skills in English, you are able to present your results adequately to various audience (managers, stakeholders, end users, experts).

- As you will be working on global use cases, you are willing to go on national and international business trips.

Basic wage component (gross) and other rewards: starting from 2800 EUR brutto /month + VAR*
