The Siemens Industry, Inc. in Roebuck, SC is seeking a Switchboard Assembler, Level 4, to be an integral member of a diverse and dynamic team. As an Assembler, you will Assemble or modify electromechanical equipment (Switchboards, etc.) with the use of mechanical tools and blueprints. Responsibilities

As an Assembler, your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

  • Operating tools and equipment common to the mechanical trade (e.g. hand & power tools).
  • Processing work orders (with the use of computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
  • Scanning in and out of work orders (with the use of computers, scanning devices, etc.) in adherence to the production schedule or expedited orders.
  • Reading and interpreting documents associated with the completion of mechanical assembly assignments (e.g. blue prints, bill of materials, one line diagrams, etc.).
  • Gathering parts and accessories required in the assembly process.
  • Assembling fabricated parts to create unit assemblies (Switchboards) or subassemblies.
  • Fastening component parts on frames, subassemblies, or unit assemblies.
  • Connecting cables and basic wires.
  • Verifying that units meet specifications, tolerances, and customer order requirements.
  • Disassembling units to adjust or replace parts.
  • Marking unit assemblies with identifying information and/or attaches identifying tags.
  • Reporting non-conforming items (e.g. parts, schematics, blue prints, etc.)
  • Preparing finished units for shipping (e.g. packing, sealing, labeling, etc.)
  • Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work area to ensure proper functioning and safe working conditions.
  • Accessing and utilizing various documents, with the use of computers, associated with the manufacture of products in assembly (e.g. Quality and Safety Documents, Operating Instructions, etc.)
  • Performing other work as directed by Supervision.

Basic Requirements

1+ years of experience in Manufacturing
Ability to read blueprints
Basic Computer Skills, and the use of basic mechanical/measuring tools
Reach, grasp, lift 50 lbs, and push/pull/slide heavy material and make coordinated movements of the hands and arms to grasp and move objects.
