Apply now for the position of PET On-Site Scientist at King’s College London and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital (fixed-term, 3 years) to push the boundaries of total body PET, advancing existing work and developing new clinical directions and applications.

Your role:

  • You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment, on site at King’s College London and Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital with expert collaboration partners, supporting research activities with two Siemens Biograph Vision Quadra systems.
  • Apply your scientific expertise to address challenges in total body PET through development of novel methods and technologies.
  • Explore new avenues for the clinical application of total body PET.
  • Build strong ties with Siemens Healthineers Molecular Imaging scientists in the UK and Siemens Healthineers PET R&D HQ in Knoxville, TN, USA.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, present results at conferences and contribute to invention disclosures where necessary.

Your expertise:

  • First degree in physical sciences/mathematics/computer science/electronic engineering or similar.
  • PhD related to medical imaging, ideally PET, or sufficient postgraduate experience in an academic, industry or healthcare setting, with a proven track record of publishing research findings.
  • Experience in applying radiopharmaceutical kinetic modelling methods to PET studies.
  • Experience in applying AI methods to PET image processing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment and explain complex topics to a range of stakeholders.
