Why this role is important?
The will report to the Senior Director, Central Pharmacy Support and will work collaboratively with cross functional teams in the design and implementation phases of new business platforms, systems and programs to ensure that they are effectively operationalized. This colleague will support improving/implementing operational policies and procedures in pharmacy workflow. The colleague will support the enterprise systems support team in addressing support escalations and validating all requests pertaining to system changes/updates.
What You'll Do:
- Providing second level support to the MediSystem locations with respect to the systems used
- Working with the enterprise support teams in providing ongoing knowledge around updates to MediSystem procedures/workflow and how it relates to the support they are providing the sites
- Owning the user acceptance testing around proposed system enhancements/changes for the business.
- Prepare important pharmacy communication in a clear, concise, timely fashion that focuses on changes or enhancements made to the systems, aligning to the standard operating procedures/processes
- Business SME for projects that influence LTC pharmacy systems and current/future operational workflow
- Leading Technology upgrades and rollouts
- Managing the Business Operations Development Team
What You'll Need:
- College Diploma, University degree or related discipline is preferred
- Over 3 years work-related experience required; Long Term Care pharmacy or Pharmacy experience
- Over 3 Years of Management Experience
- Technology Experience
- Kroll Experience is preferred
- A good understanding of the relative pharmacy systems - Point Click Care and Med eCare eMAR applications if preferred
- Advanced knowledge in the Microsoft suite of business applications
- Advanced knowledge in IT and how it relates to the configuration and functionality of the applicable systems used
- Experience in performing User Acceptance Testing of new applications, upgrades to those applications and creating the applicable test cases needed to test the application fully based on the current business processes
- Ability to productively work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks and respond in a timely manner
- Experience in facilitating working sessions with applicable colleagues to transfer knowledge or work thought changes to business processes
