The Senior Pricing Analyst will report directly to the Pricing Director and serve as the first point of review for all system pricing proposals. The analyst will review weekly price recommendations, providing key strategic insights, pricing execution, and monitoring Loblaw price positioning in all markets across Canada in partnership with category teams. The Sr. Analyst will be involved in daily price decisions, data maintenance, engaging with business partners, and supporting various initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting the collection and storage of price check information, introducing, and implementing a quantifiable cleansing methodology, building, and generating accurate and relevant reporting that supports business decisions.
Accountabilities
- Provide support to stores by resolving pricing issues impacting stores, customers, and partners
- Support the execution of pricing strategy, ensure pricing is accurate, compliant and adheres to guardrails
- Partner with the category team on a weekly basis to review and implement retail pricing changes
- Monitor trends, conduct analysis to identify issues and opportunities, and effectively communicate to the business.
- Maintain, Review and Action various pricing reports on a weekly basis
- Represent pricing in cross-functional projects aimed at improving pricing processes and execution
- Conduct quantitative analysis in Excel, including Pivot Tables, Sorting, Filtering, and Lookups
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Pricing Managers/ Sr. Pricing Managers
Role Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Math/ Economics/ Business Administration or relevant experience
- Confident, detail oriented with effective communication skills
- Collaborator with exceptional written communication and presentation skills.
- Well-developed skills in MS Office specifically Excel, Access, and PowerPoint. Experience with SAP is an asset
- Minimum 1-2 years of work experience in an analytical or merchandising role
- Experience with Query tools (i.e., MicroStrategy, MS Access, SAS, Python)
- Ability to source information, develop relationships, influence, and obtain approval
