Why this role is important?
Reporting directly to the VP, Pharmacy Operations & Clinical Excellence, you will act as a liaison between Central Office departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth development and execution of pharmacy related projects along with overseeing innovative growth projects for the future of pharmacy operations at Shoppers Drug Mart.
What You’ll Do:
· Lead the Pharmacy Operations Performance, Standards & Development teams for both Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaw Pharmacies
· Closely liaise with many teams and adjacent businesses to operationalize programs and drive visionary change
· Work on special projects to integrate with stores operationally, drive efficiency and performance
· Develop programs to continue to drive pharmacy business, enhance patient experience and innovate for future professional enhancement
· Support growth projects related to the future of pharmacy practice at Shoppers Drug Mart
· Provide Operational guidance on programs and initiatives working with Central Pharmacy Services, Enterprise Operations Development & Systems, Pharmacy Services, Health & Wellness, Procurement, Supply Chain, Merchandising, National Operations, Professional Affairs and Marketing
· Work with Loblaw Real Estate, Design & Construction stakeholders to ensure Pharmacy layouts are optimized to meet the needs of the business
· Review and approve all pharmacy hardware requirements for store teams
· Drive execution of programs with collaboration with field Operators
· Work directly with the Pharmacy Workflow and Design team to ensure labour is allocated appropriately for upcoming CYP cycles
· Lead the development of presentations to be shared at PEERS meetings and other department meetings
· Visit Pharmacies across the country to gather insights on current programs and insights on potential opportunities for enhancement
· Analyze, categorize, and communicate the overall corporate strategy and procedures, and liaises with regional resources to optimize labour, develop enhanced working tools for store resources, and drive store profitability.
· Develop and establish short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
· Liaise with Financial Planning & Pricing to streamline procedures at store level, enhance C.Y.P., and improve monthly re-forecasting of the business.
· Monitor and analyzes the performance strategies to identify areas of opportunity, respond with action plans, ensure maximum competitiveness, and meet or exceed financial targets.

This position requires a superior level of initiative and judgment to organize and prioritize tasks, workload, and projects. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are required in dealing with colleagues in every day working relationships.
· Require extensive knowledge and skill in multiple disciplines to be able to integrate them effectively and a capacity to understand and interpret conflicting goals and needs of diverse groups.
· Ability to organize and strategize complex deliverables by developing plans and clear direction setting.
· Develop new techniques and innovative approaches to further continuous improvement
