What’s the role
Shell is seeking a Terminal Operations Administrator to join its team at the Shellburn Terminal.
The Terminal Operations Administrator (TOS) for the Burnaby Terminals / Bare Point Terminal will be part of an 18-person team responsible for delivering safe and reliable operations to support Shell’s fuel customers in the local market. Ensuring adherence to both Shell and regulatory compliance requirements maintaining Shell’s “License to Operate” is essential.
This role serves as a key interface with Marine, Truck Carriers, and Rail companies. Responsibilities include managing day-to-day operational processes, administering the Terminal Automation System (TAS), overseeing inventory management, entering payroll, and procuring goods and materials. In addition, the role will be responsible for managing three asset locations.
Accountabilities:
Collaborate with Terminal Staff and Operators as well as Drivers in line with Shell’s Code of Conduct, while fostering a diverse and inclusive culture
Administer the terminal hourly payroll process including overtime adjustments and vacation time
Support and champion No Harm to People; Zero Spills/Leaks
Monitor additive inventory levels and ensures deliveries are on time to avoid impacts to customer product availability
Ensure Safety Data Sheet database is kept current
Help to maintain a high level of terminal reliability, minimizing unplanned downtime, and ensuring product availability for Shell’s customers
Assist with maintenance work order administration to ensure the monthly tasks are complete and documented properly
Maintain the Asset Management System database for the three locations
Work with Operations team to complete daily stock balance and flags out of tolerances for further investigation
Help to ensure product recipes are correct and adjusts data in Terminal Automation System to deliver the right product to the right customer
Minimize costs through analysis and proper planning of material ordering and consumption rates
Support the monthly terminal budget review process with up-to-date and accurate information as well as timely expense report submissions
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Must have a high school diploma
At least 3 years’ experience in an administrative capacity
Proficiency with the MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
SAP would be considered an asset

What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $65,300 - $97,900 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
