Job Description:
What’s the role
Shell is seeking a Terminal Operator to join a team of four operations personnel at the Hamilton Terminal site. This role is essential to delivering safe and reliable operations for a range of fuel customers, including both Shell and non-Shell, in the local market.

This role requires on-site presence approximately four (4) days per week, with overtime as needed, and includes rotating 24/7 on-call availability.
Accountabilities:
Accountable for compliance with company and regulatory procedures in the execution of the job, including HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental), the Control Framework, the Global Terminal Operations Manual, and requirements from external regulatory agencies such as Ministry of Labour (MOL), Ministry of Environment Conservation and Parks (MECP), and Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA)
Perform handling, receiving, transferring, shipping, and storing of petroleum products via pipeline and truck
Perform daily reconciliation of product inventories including transaction and documentation of product movements and analysis of loss/gain variances
Manage Permit to Work (PtW) including confined space entry, control of electrostatic hazards and working at heights, including task observations
Perform daily inspections and execute routine maintenance and housekeeping as per global and local Terminal Operating standards in order to ensure a safe, secure, and environmentally sound operation
Troubleshoot loading rack and other terminal system malfunctions
Conduct quality assurance sampling and testing of products
Act as liaison with internal and external stakeholders as required to maximize terminal operation and reliability
Communicate with the Remote Operations Centre, providing input on tank levels, upcoming pipeline and truck deliveries, and scheduled maintenance to ensure business continuity and safe operations
What you bring
Must have legal authorization to work in Canada on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
Must have a High School Diploma
Must be willing to obtain Petroleum Mechanic License (TSSA PM3)
Must possess a valid driver's license
At least 3 years of relevant experience in petrochemical industry
Must be willing to work on-call shifts, including nights and weekends, with occasional overtime and travel as needed
