Job Summary:
The IC System Architect is an integral part of the integrated circuit design team. Working in close collaboration with analog, digital, firmware design engineers, they are responsible for aiding in the initial feasibility analysis and fabrication process selection. The individual follows the design through to defining a circuit level architecture and verifying the evolving implementation continues to meet the application requirements.
Responsibilities:
Assessing system level requirements to meet target applications
Mapping system level requirements on to integrated circuit functional blocks
Working directly as part of the IC design team to find the optimal power, performance and cost tradeoffs
Preliminary circuit-level feasibility for critical elements
Detailed modelling of IC and external components to project target performance
Algorithm development for on-chip calibration and signal conditioning
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as electrical engineering etc.
10 years direct industry experience in IC development for high speed communications systems
High speed analog and mixed signal circuit design
Through understanding of linear and non-linear channel simulation techniques
Deep understanding of signal equalization techniques and clock-and-data recovery for wideband, multi-gigabit systems

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is $120,000-$150,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
