Job Summary:
The QA & Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the Reliability Testing of the LoRA WAN products and all of the Quality Assurance Activities associated supporting the LoRA Group [Neuchatel] and CAP Sensing Group [San Diego].
He/She must be a self-starter and comfortable managing engineering activities across global time zones. Manufacturing for the respective products is centralized in Asia, Malayasia & Taiwan. Customers are world wide.
Responsibilities:
- Performing Reliability Testing for LoRA Products
- Design of test HW
- Design of Test SW
- Running the Reliability Testing on site.
- Co-ordinating with US Rel Lab to complete full reliability testing
- Quality Assurance for local Business Unit:
- Managing customer relations for the specific business group, including but not limited to:
- Customer advocate within Semtech.
- F2F Customer meetings.
- F2F Supplier Meetings.
- Facilitating customer audits.
- Managing customer related Failure analysis cases for the LoRA Group and Cap Sensing Group
- Includes interactive discussion with FA team, internal and external.
- This includes as applicable writing requisite 8D reports for negative cases, includes FTA as applicable
- Bench test debugging customer returns.
- Customer Guarantee letters.
- PLM support for LoRA & Cap Sense.
- NCMR/MRB Review
- AER/PPR dispositions.
- Quality Assurance Communications to customers.
- PCN/EOL/Quality Alerts for the respective Business Groups
- Managing customer relations for the specific business group, including but not limited to:
Minimum Qualifications:
- 4 year Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Advanced Degree preferred.
- Experience with SW interfaces – Labview, Python, C, AutoCAD, Cadence, ADS, Altium, SPI, I2C, USB, GPIB, SCPI
- Conversant with NPI Processes, Phase 1 through Phase 5 @ Semtech.
- Product Engineering Experience with complex analogue, digital and data transmission systems and system modelling
- Experience with reliability testing complex analogue, digital and data transmission systems
- Experience with bench testing and debugging of complex analogue and digital data transmission systems.
- Applications experience with complex analogue and digital data transmission systems.
Desired Qualifications
- Detailed Failure analysis expertise – Physical Failure Analysis
- SQE Experience a plus.
- Design Engineering of complex analogue and digital data transmission systems a plus.
