Senior Engineer, Hardware

Job Summary:
Working along senior and staff engineers, you will contribute to the development, design and validation of next generation 5G routers and gateways.
Responsibilities:
Develop embedded designs including, PCB, analog/digital circuits, Power Supplies, Ethernet, SerDes (PCIe), USB, Op-amps, manufacturing test and RF technologies including WiFi, GNSS, Cellular and Bluetooth.
Verification of new and existing hardware architectures, electrical design work including schematic creation and pcb layout work.
Contribute to the design and implementation of test methodologies to ensure products meet manufacturing requirements and product targets.
Participate in certification and regulatory approval activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
A degree in Electrical Engineering or Technology Diploma with relevant industry experience
3+ years of experience or a combination of co-op and relevant industry experience
Experience in hardware design and documentation tools including schematic capture, PCB layout, simulation tools and strong troubleshooting skills.
Able to work independently and in cross functional teams
Working knowledge of DSOs, DMMs, spectrum and logic analyzers
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of wired and wireless networking protocols
Collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
Working knowledge of Linux and embedded systems

A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this position is CAD $80,000 - $90,000. There are several factors taken into consideration in determining base salary, including but not limited to: job-related qualifications, skills, education and experience, as well as job location and the value of other elements of an employee’s total compensation package.
