Job Description

We are looking for a talented CI/CD Engineer (1-Year Contract) to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

The GCP‑experienced CI/CD Engineer (12- months contract) will help deliver and operate secure, scalable platforms that support products relied upon by 30% of global online traffic and 80% of Fortune 500 enterprises. Partnering with our internal R&D application teams, the role focuses on building containerised CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform in Terraform, aligned with CloudOps standards and security‑first application requirements. Engineers in this role will deepen their expertise in cloud infrastructure security, encryption, and identity management while contributing directly to systems that enable businesses worldwide to secure their online presence.

This is a 12-month contract position, working in Hybrid from our Chennai office at DLF IT Park, Manapakkam. The contract role can be potentially extended and/or converted based on individual performance and business needs.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

  • Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) .
  • Deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the application development team to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
  • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Document processes, procedures, and best practices for cloud operations.
  • Other duties as assigned and related to the nature of this role and company initiatives.
  • Additional tasks associated with this position may be assigned in response to company initiatives and business needs.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, technology, or a related field is preferred.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of software and/or operational experience in building and maintaining internet-facing production environments.
  • Experience running a large-scale 24/7 production environment.
  • Experience with distributed data processing, databases, and large-scale file systems is a plus.

Ideal Candidate Profiles, Talents, and Desired Qualifications:

  • Deep knowledge of source control tools (GitHub).
  • Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform preferred).
  • Extensive experience with automated code integration (GitHub Actions preferred).
  • Good understanding of container technology (Docker preferred).
  • Good experience in container orchestration technology (Kubernetes preferred).
  • Good experience configuration of webservers (NGINX)
  • Relational Database Server management, Clusters, ( MySQL, Aurora, Postgres)
  • Experience in developing and managing a web application like Laravel, PHP Applications, Python, etc.
  • Network administration experience is a plus.
  • Exposure to Security and Testing frameworks is a plus.
  • Exposure to compliant regulated industries such as Finance, Healthcare, or Government is a plus.
  • Experience with distributed data processing, databases, and large-scale file systems is a plus.
