The Role
The Manager, Economics and Analytics will contribute to the overall success of financial reporting and management of analytics for the Real Estate team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. They will ensure all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain data collection and management tools using SQL Server, Microsoft Power BI, Excel, Python and other solutions.
- Financial reporting and analytics for the Real Estate team. This includes performing DPMO responsibilities for Real Estate projects, monthly SIP reporting to EPMO/Finance
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Business case development for new projects within the ABWT and W4 programs
- Develop and maintain utilization dashboards, space planning models, conduct analysis, drive insight into the effectiveness of space optimization, and provide timely weekly/monthly reports on space utilization
- Develop, test, deploy, and maintain reports, semantic models, and dataflows in Power BI.
- Partner with IT, Network, Cybersecurity and other stakeholders to ensure data accuracy and to facilitate data migration, transformation and cleansing where necessary to maintain data integrity
- Assist with any other portfolio ad-hoc reporting/project as required
- Improve existing processes and technology to provide high-quality reliable tools to senior management, asset, and property management teams.
- Assist in the data analytics modernization and automation projects.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Post-Secondary education in Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Business or related
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in analytical tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, SQL and advanced Excel skills for data manipulation and reporting. Python expertise desired.
- 3 + years’ experience in Banking, Finance, or management experience
- Experience with project financials, budgeting and creating business cases
- Proven experience managing large complex reporting exercises
- Demonstrated sound judgement and ability to work within tight timelines
