| The Role
As the Senior Manager, Data Product, you will play a critical, hands-on role in bringing our data products to life. Reporting to the Director, Data Product, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and successful delivery of a specific data product, from gathering requirements to overseeing development and launch. You will work embedded within a cross-functional team of developers, data modelers, delivery managers and analysts to translate the product vision into a detailed backlog and ensure features meet the needs of our data consumers.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- Product Ownership: Solid financial services industry experience (5+ years) in product innovation delivery, with good understanding of business drivers and levers
- Technical Aptitude: Strong understanding of the data lifecycle, analytics, and software development processes. Experience with cloud data platforms, or data modeling is an asset
- Business Acumen: Maintains an understanding of the financial services industry and trends in banking
- Problem Solving Skills: Proven ability to analyze ambiguous and complex problems and translate them into clear, actionable development tasks.
- Communication & Collaboration: Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical engineering teams and business stakeholders.
- Agile Expertise: Deep experience with agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban), writing user stories, and managing backlogs in tools like Jira or Confluence.
- Education: Business, Engineering or Computer Science degree with related experience in product innovation
Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
- The business environment is fast-paced, complex and demanding. Heavy pressure also arises from the need to manage potential conflicting priorities constructively.
- The role may require long hours in preparation of documents and presentations.
