Job Description

Title: Talent Acquisition Consultant - Front Office US


Overview
Contributes to the overall success of Scotiabank's USA lateral recruitment efforts. Will join the organization to support the hiring of Analyst & Associate personnel across Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) and Global Capital Markets (GCM). Scotiabank is offering the unique opportunity to manage the full lateral recruitment life cycle of junior hires for every revenue-generating business unit across the US franchise. Reporting directly to the US Front Office Recruitment Lead, provide updates and support as needed. The Talent Acquisition Consultant will be relied upon as an advisor to his/her business counterparts. Delivering white-glove service to clients by giving regular market updates and consistently delivering quality hires within specified timelines. What You'll Do

  • Attract top talent to our growing US platform by directly sourcing passive applicants for each role
  • Take a proactive and consultative recruitment approach while interacting with the firm's hiring managers
  • Work in lockstep with the HRBP, Total Rewards, Hiring Onboarding & Administration, HR Operations and Services teams to ensure a positive candidate and hiring manager experience
  • Take a proactive recruitment approach in response to current market events, assisting in market-mapping exercises and proactive outreach on an ad-hoc basis
  • Support Scotiabank's USA growth - hiring professionals to expand on current offerings, as well as hiring those who will help bring entirely new coverage/offerings to the bank
  • Help the USTA team in delivering on various DE&I recruitment initiatives across the bank
  • Follow US HR policies and procedures while conducting day-to-day recruitment activities

What You'll Bring:

  • 3-5 years of recruitment experience in the Investment Banking Industry. Ideally supporting a CIB/GCM portfolio.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business/Finance, or a related field
  • A combination of agency recruitment and internal recruitment experience at a bank (directly or via an RPO) is an asset
  • Proficiency using sourcing tools like LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking System (ATS), SAP Success Factors, is a plus
  • Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, SharePoint
