TITLE: Director, US Equity Derivatives
DUTIES: Scotia Capital (USA), Inc seeks Director, US Equity Derivatives in New York, NY to champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Communicate with clients on matters related to equity market volatility when requested by Sales. Manage all Greeks derived from the Region's index, ETF and single stock exotic option positions. Ensure all trading is conducted within the Desk's approved Volcker operating plan. Provide timely and accurate pricing updates for products within area of responsibility. Ensure all risks are contained within the approved limits. Maintain communication with internal support groups on all matters related to the Global Equity Derivatives trading books. Partner with the Equity Derivatives Quantitative team to expand and improve the Equity Derivatives model suite and risk management capabilities, as well as helping reduce model risk post implementation. Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, Anti Money Laundering/Anti Terrorist Financing risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. REQUIREMENTS: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance or a related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or related occupation: utilizing and developing advanced quantitative models, including stochastic volatility models and local volatility models, to accurately price complex exotic equity derivatives; creating and executing trading strategies for hedging exotic equity derivatives, leveraging deep knowledge of options Greeks, volatility surfaces, and skew dynamics; developing Excel-based pricing tools, enabling bulk and rule-based pricing; and working with numerical methods applied to options calibration, facilitating mass pricing of exotic structures. FINRA Series 3 required. FINRA Series 7 required. FINRA Series 55 required. The offered salary is between $293,000-$300,000 per year. 40 hours per week.
