Purpose: Multinational Banking is a key growth pillar of Scotiabank’s refreshed strategy, which entails the delivery of a differentiated and consistent client experience across our footprint, placing the client at the center of our service model, regardless of where they choose to do business.

In partnership with the Parent Account Managers (PAM) and Operations Account Managers (OAM), the Analyst will support both the US and Canada Subsidiary Account Managers (SAMs) in managing the relationship with local subsidiaries of Multinational Corporate and Commercial clients (MNC), while supporting the connectivity with PAMs and product partners across Scotiabank’s global footprint.

What You’ll Do

  • Work collaboratively with the US and Canada SAMs, country teams, and key internal stakeholders to deliver the enhanced Multinationals value proposition to Scotiabank’s Multinational clients.
  • Support PAMs, OAMs globally, and US and Canada SAMs in developing and managing holistic global account plans and executing on local and global multi-product and service plans to grow the global relationship of our MNCs and to support the MNCs’ financial needs.
  • Gain strong knowledge of US and Canadian markets, as well as Scotiabank's local and global platform, product capabilities, operational processes, risk appetite and risk culture.
  • Due diligence on client’s public fillings, summarize data and support on origination efforts alongside the Associates and SAMs on the team.
  • Assist in portfolio management including: preparing pitch books, credit write ups (for non-lending and lending products), and deal execution.
  • Assist with the framework set up for the client portfolio, create templates for analysis, perform due diligence and streamline operations across MNC accounts.
  • Maintain reporting profitability metrics and perform analysis on client engagement and share of wallet.
  • Build strong relationships and partner effectively with key stakeholders across Scotiabank’s various lines of business and around the globe.


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Business Finance, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or Technology
  • 1+ years of experience in a Corporate Banking, Investment Banking or Global Transaction Banking
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong interest in gaining knowledge of non-lending products including: Global Business Payments, Investment Banking, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets, Risk Solutions, and Foreign Exchange, and lending products
  • Positive, entrepreneurial, and collaborative approach
  • Strong interest in liaising with colleagues across different jurisdictions and product groups
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
