Production Planner/Scheduler 1

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Plans, schedules, coordinates and/or monitors final approval of products through the complete production cycle. Works from engineering plans and production specifications to establish production schedules, labor loading, and capacity requirements. Coordinates production plans to ensure materials are provided according to schedules.

NATURE OF DUTIES:

  1. Review total customer backlog/ demand and to plan the production build plan based on Materials Clear to Build (CTB) and line capacity.
  2. Responsible to monitor and inform customers on the scheduled ship date.
  3. Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products/line
  4. Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay, monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time
  5. Determine manpower, equipment/ capacity and raw materials needed to cover production demand and level loads schedule to packaging
  6. Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption and collaborate with quality control, materials planner, buyer, warehouse and other related department

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Plans and establishes production schedules and engineering build
  2. Transmit customer demand into production planning base on Materials clear to build
  3. Progressively communicate with customer on commitment
  4. Work and align with Production VSM on productivity optimization
  5. Tracks progress of production, and reviews factors which affect schedules.
  6. Monitors materials inventories affecting the Build Plan
  7. Attending daily and weekly production meeting with Team Leader to monitor and ensure production schedules are met and any alterations to the schedule are addressed timely

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Candidate must possess at least a Degree in related field
  2. Preferably 2 years working experience at similar position. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
  3. Strong PC skills including the use of MS Office products (particularly Excel), as well as proficiency in using Oracle or similar ERP packages
  4. Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills
  5. Excellent communication skills and teamwork
  6. Attention to detail, commitment to quality and a sense of urgency
  7. Ability to interface with all levels in various departments
  8. Ability to support beyond working hours subject to business needs
  9. Self-motivated and ability to prioritize multiple and manage volatile/ changing conditions
