JOB TITLE: Business Analyst - IT GBS

GENERAL SUMMARY

This role will be responsible to work on projects from one or more business portfolios to deliver/assist in requirements, test plans, functional testing, presentations and training based on the need of the specific projects. The business analyst is expected to be part of the project through-out the PMLC.

Business Analyst will also be responsible for managing small projects (efforts <160 hours) in one or more IT portfolios within the IT global business services team under the direction of respective IPM. Projects will range in size and complexity and will focus on specific business areas or functions. Some will involve business process change and IT aspects. Projects may target enhancement nature / R&D efforts & Upgrades.

Expected to work closely with business stakeholders/ IPM/ PM and become a trusted advisor in technology, solutions development and process improvement execution. Work collaboratively & cross-functionally to manage successful execution of all approved and agreed projects. Working closely with both the business & IT GBS leadership team to regularly report progress and status.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage multiple small projects (efforts <160 hours) simultaneously. Work closely with both business & IT management to help identify, evaluate, prioritize and schedule potential new project work within a portfolio road map. This includes managing and prioritizing requests and ideas for projects/SWI as well as developing recommended solutions to business issues. Seek opportunities for continuous process improvement and process re-engineering activity worldwide

Take ownership and demonstrate clear leadership of assigned projects/SWI: effectively communicate project expectations (requirements, priorities, resources, risks, etc), progress and status to the project team & management in a timely fashion.

Work closely with the IPM/ PM to contribute and maintain Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC), Direct Charge methodology and standard Governance. Ensure a consistent application of the Governance, PMLC and Direct Charge methodology for all assigned projects from initial concept, design, and execution to post project review.

To achieve successful on time execution of project deliverables through a combination of personal leadership and by providing appropriate leadership guidance and coaching support to team members in line with project plans. This particularly includes, but is not limited to, the identification and resolution of potential barriers.

To work with the GBS BA Team, project manager and IT developers in understanding the testing requirement / /Process and to assist with the testing and the preparation of test plans as when required in line with GBS BA team / company guidelines and standards. Also, to perform other testing-related duties (Adhoc) as required/requested by the Project team as a part of GBA BA activity. Ensuring the validations are performed as per the test script/requirements that are provided by the business with accuracy, communicate and to document the same.

Become subject matter experts in the specific project processes that are the subject of improvement efforts. The goal is to enable closer partnership and involvement of IT with Business at all levels. Manage the preparation of detailed analysis and documentation to support knowledge transfer & sharing.
