Manufacturing Maintenance Technician

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technicians will provide maintenance and performance support for large production machinery. Tasks will include basic preventative maintenance, breakdown maintenance, and reporting. You will need to determine the severity of damaged machine parts to determine whether major repairs are necessary while maintaining a safe work environment. Under the direction of the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, this position will oversee all physical aspects of production equipment and include various tasks required from other departments to achieve higher quality, productivity, and better safety.

Manufacturing Technician Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery and equipment
• Monitor and adjust machinery and equipment in order to maintain quality standards
• Perform regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify and address potential problems
• Monitor production schedules and make necessary adjustments to ensure timely completion of jobs
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies
• Provide technical support and training to other technicians and operators
• Assist with the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery

Manufacturing Technician Requirements and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Associate’s degree in industrial technology, mechanical engineering, or related field preferred
• Minimum of two years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proven knowledge of production machinery and equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Able to read and interpret technical documents and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
