• Administration:*

  • Installation, configuration, and maintenance of PostgreSQL and SQL Server database servers.

  • Proactive monitoring of database performance and availability.

  • Implementation and management of security strategies to protect data.

  • User and permissions management.

  • Troubleshooting and optimizing database performance.

• Development:*

  • Collaboration with development teams in the design of efficient database schemas.

  • Writing and optimizing SQL queries.

  • Implementation of stored procedures and functions.

• Maintenance:*

  • Implementation and management of backups and recovery strategies.

  • Maintenance of data integrity.

  • Application of software patches and updates.

  • Documentation of processes and configurations.

• Index Optimization:

  • Index analysis and design to improve query performance.

  • Index implementation and maintenance.

  • Table reindexing to optimize space and performance.

• Requirements

  • Strong experience in PostgreSQL and SQL Server database administration.

  • Deep knowledge of SQL and database administration tools.

  • Experience in performance optimization and troubleshooting.

  • Understanding of database security concepts.

  • Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.

  • Deep understanding of index theory and its application in PostgreSQL and SQL Server.

  • Experience creating, managing, and optimizing indexes.

• Preferred:

  • PostgreSQL or SQL Server certifications.

  • Experience automating tasks using scripts.

  • Knowledge of database monitoring tools.
