Production Test Technician

Perform the set-up, calibration, testing and troubleshooting of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies. Determines and may develop test specifications, methods and procedures from blueprints, drawings and diagrams. Tests and troubleshoots assemblies and/or final systems. May complete rework on assemblies and/or systems as a result of testing. Prepare technical reports summarizing findings and recommending solutions to technical problems. May assist in the selection and set-up of specialized test equipment.

Job Duties;

  • Ability to read and comprehend technical documentation (routing reports, prints, schematics, equipment manuals)
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to follow step-by-step instructions on programming component boards or functional test documents
  • Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel)
  • Knowledge of how to use a Multimeter for troubleshooting electrical equipment and wiring
  • Able to read small print labels
  • Ability to solve problems in a timely manner to keep the production area efficient
  • Know how to identify priorities, set goals, complete goals, work well under pressure
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • Ability to sit, stand walk and bend for long periods of time

Education/Experience

  • Associates Degree 2 year Technical Degree
  • 1-2 years’ of related experience
  • Proven records of troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment, reading schematics and working with high voltage equipment
  • Soldering experience preferred
  • Familiarity with ABB circuit breakers rated at 254-508V, AC resistive load banks
  • Electronic/Electrical Device programming experience through USB, Ethernet and /or Serial Port interfaces
