Process Engineer Intern

Job Purpose The Process Engineer Intern will be responsible for assisting and supporting the Process Engineer team in Turtle Lake, WI with a variety of initiatives and duties, including but not limited to those listed below.

Nature of Duties: In a team setting, the intern will assist with the following:

• Performs planning, development, support of design and installation of injection molding tooling, equipment and processes.
• Will act as an advocate of disciplined plastics engineering approaches using (ie. Robust Mold Trials, Systematic Molding Techniques, Standard Work Flow)
• Ensures that molding equipment meets specifications, schedules and budgets.
• Provide troubleshooting expertise and resolve Injection Molding problems using strong systematic trouble shooting techniques.
• Develop technical problem solving skills among process technicians. Provide key inputs and leadership into transformational process development
• Provide timely and accurate reporting on project activities.
• Lead or actively participate in cross-functional teams to ensure New Product Introduction projects are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
• Lead and Support Lean/Six Sigma initiatives within the facility.
• Actively interface with cross-functional team members, always practicing good team work.
• Ensure all process development documents are completed in accordance with the Quality Management system to support a smooth transition to production.
• Support the implementation of all plant strategic initiatives.
• Ability to travel on short notice
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Currently in year 3 or 4, or a post-graduate, of a 4-year degree program in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Engineering field.
• Demonstrates strong work ethic.
• Strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Good time management skills and organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
• Ability to be a self-starter
