Job Purpose:

Assemble Electronic and/or Electro-Mechanical Circuit Boards per specifications and ensure quality is a priority.

Nature of Duties:

·Read, comprehend, interpret & follow basic work instructions, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, & other written instructions. Follow established procedures to accurately assemble products

·Assembles components by mechanically fastening parts and subassemblies

·Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools

·Working with various sized materials from heavy parts to small intricate parts

·Identify product defects and report on to appropriate personnel

·Keep accurate records/logs etc.

·Handling of ESD sensitive materials and equipment

·Perform other related duties as assigned

This position requires flexibility and understanding that all staff may be required to perform duties outside their normal area of expertise to meet the mission and goals of the company.

Education and Experience:

·A strong mechanical aptitude.

·Experience with hand tools such as ratchets, wrenches, battery and pneumatic operated tools.

·Ability to stand for long periods of time, safely lift up to 20 pounds on a regular basis and ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds (with assistance if required).

·Basic computer skills – email, work instructions.

·Attention to detail.

·Good command of the English language, both written and verbal.

JOB DESCRIPTOR

Assembler : Performs a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units. Makes setups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
