Job Overview:
Ross Video is seeking a highly skilled automation professional to become a domain expert in our Enterprise Management control systems. This pivotal role contributes to product quality by expanding test coverage, driving automation efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams throughout the product lifecycle. You’ll develop and lead robust automation frameworks while scripting and executing automated tests in an agile/scrum environment. You’ll contribute to the maintenance, management, and growth of system lab environments.

Salary Information:
The pay range for this role in Canada is: $78,000 - $97,000 CAD
The listed salary reflects the pay range for a role based in Canada. Compensation may differ based on alternate locations if listed. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, knowledge, and role-specific qualifications, and may be adjusted to recognize candidates accordingly. What The Job Is All About:
Automation Strategy and Execution
- Lead testing initiatives and oversee all test automation activities
- Design and develop comprehensive test automation plans and test cases
- Write clear, collaborative test plans and engage the entire team to align on what is being tested (and what is not), fostering shared ownership of quality
- Build, maintain, and improve automation software and frameworks
- Execute automated tests regularly and produce detailed reports
- Support the setup and maintenance of the automation test environment
- Contribute to design discussions and work closely with development teams in an agile/scrum environment
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams as needed
- Serve as Scrum Master when required to facilitate agile processes and ensure team alignment
- Participate early in development discussions to advocate for testability from the outset
- Estimate the effort required for testing tasks to support project planning
- Maintain clear documentation of automation processes, test environments, and test execution
- Provide timely and accurate updates on testing progress and automation activities
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in software test automation
- Proven experience with automation testing concepts, including creating and maintaining automation frameworks
- Strong programming skills in Python and JavaScript
- Experience with test frameworks and tools such as Robo Framework, Playwright, Selenium, BASH, Postman, and JMeter
- Experience with source control, code review, and test cycle management tools
- Knowledge of Linux and various Windows platforms
- Ability to analyze complex cloud-based systems down to the data flow level to identify potential bottlenecks or failure points
- Familiarity with AI tools for code development
- Highly comfortable working within agile/scrum methodologies
- Ability to take the lead in testing and automation initiatives
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Knowledge of DevOps (Jenkins, Docker, EC2, RDS, etc.)
- Knowledge of cloud technology (Kubernetes, ECS EKS, etc.)
