Job Overview:
The Accounting Analyst – Accounts Payable will work as part of the Accounts Payable team, overseen by the Manager of Accounts Payable and will be responsible for managing end-to-end international accounts payable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, compliance with global tax and regulatory requirements, and effective coordination with overseas vendors and internal stakeholders.

What the job is all about:
- Process and review international vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and accounting standards
- Ensure accurate posting of invoices, debit/credit notes
- Coordinate with international vendors to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues
- Prepare and execute vendor payments
- Ensure compliance with international tax regulations (e.g., VAT, GST, withholding tax)
- Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve outstanding balances
- Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts payable
- Maintain proper documentation for audits and internal controls
- Collaborate with procurement, treasury, and finance teams
- Monitor aging reports and ensure timely payment to avoid penalties
- Assist in process improvements and AP automation initiatives
Who you are:
- Post secondary education in Business Administration
- 3-5 years experience in an accounting environment preferably Accounts Payable
- Good working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (IFRS)
- Experience working with various accounting software (LN an asset)
- Advanced skill level with MS Office and Excel
- Solid level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to explain financial concepts and to interact with credibility with peers and management within the organization.
- Attention to detail, analytical skills, and adherence to financial regulations are critical for success in this role.
- Experience working with a High Tech, Software Products or Manufacturing organization would be an asset
