Maximising the value of the Camera Motion Systems spidercam products, resulting from the work of the project/scrum team. The Product Owner will be the main point of contact for the product team and will provide the product line monthly report in R&D sync meetings.

You’ll be managing specific projects and steering them to produce customer driven products and features including product backlogs, creating and reviewing product backlog items and working day-to-day with the project/scrum team to maintain the priority and timelines. You will collaborate with PM on the best way to achieve the product vision and goals and the roadmap. You’ll work with target customers to validate your ideas and create excellent solutions that will change the way productions are made.

What the job is all about:

Collaboration

  • Work with PM to ensure a deep understanding of the release goals/themes and product vision. Work together to define and monitor KPIs that indicate how the product investment is delivering value.
  • Work day-to-day with the project/scrum team to support the delivery of the product. Responsibilities include: managing the product backlog, creating and reviewing user stories and acceptance criteria with the team, creating epics and story maps, defining sprint goals, capturing feature requests and enhancements
  • Work with new and existing customers and end users to fully understand the problem space and revise existing features to better align with their needs
  • Provide feedback and suggestions on the product roadmap, future release plans and product direction
  • Participate in all project/scrum activities including: leading backlog refinement, participating in retrospectives and planning, daily stand-ups, defining definition of done
  • Participate in cross-team planning activities and track cross-team dependencies/commitments
  • Work with subject matter experts to ensure a quality product, including Architects, Quality Assurance Experts, Test Automation Experts
  • Plan and roll out sustaining activities including supporting existing customers with upgrade plans/paths, while having zero excess stock. Includes any end-of-life processes.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials to support the rental business and promote the brand. This will include, but is not limited to, customer-facing materials such as: cutsheets, brochures, application notes, video scripts, white papers, training documents (internal and external), and webtext.
  • Assist in the maintenance support contracts to develop this revenue stream.

Innovation, Design and Specification

  • Develop and prototype innovative approaches to solving existing and emerging problems. Perform user acceptance testing as needed.
  • Create product specification documentation to support the development team in delivering products that address customer needs and achieve the product vision, including: mockups, interaction designs, information architecture and data models
  • Continuously participate in customer feedback sessions and research, both before and after feature implementation
  • Create user experience artifacts to aid the project/scrum team in keeping the user top of mind: scenarios, user stories, personas, use cases etc.
  • Work closely with User Experience Design team to create mockups and interaction designs for new features that are inline with Ross standards

Decision Making

  • Maintains the priority of the items in the release backlog, including user stories, bugs, tech support escalations to maximize the value of the product, while staying aligned with the vision and strategy
  • Makes day-to-day business vs technical trade-off decisions
  • Evaluate/suggest and own potential OEM products to enhance the product range, managing all the communications and initial negotiations, including supply chain activities.

Stakeholder Management and Communication

  • Regularly reporting on progress towards sprint and release goals to PM, dependent R&D teams, R&D and executives
  • Explain and regularly communicate the rationale behind the priority of items in the product backlog to all release stakeholders
  • Ensure customer stakeholders, both internal and external, are informed when priorities change or risks emerge
  • Facilitate/assist in sprint reviews, collect and solicit feedback and capture changes in product backlog
  • Provide product training, assist in pilot, technical training and service training, where relevant.

Who you are:

  • Ideally, experience developing, operating, selling or marketing video production equipment in a live broadcast environment is required
  • Some experience operating, selling or marketing cable camera systems or related equipment would be a valuable asset.
  • Ability to learn and demonstrate Spidercam systems and ancillary equipment
  • General knowledge of all Ross Video Products would be an asset
  • The ability to converse in German and English to B2 level, an additional language would be considered an asset

Salary: $4,344.34 monthly or more based on experience.
