We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our shipping and receiving team at Rohde & Schwarz in Columbia, MD. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP systems and a strong understanding of warehouse operations. This role involves receiving, verifying, and shipping materials accurately while maintaining inventory control and supporting continuous process improvements.

Your tasks

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Accurately sort, count, and record items in SAP or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system.
• Prepare and process outbound shipments according to company standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and assist with cycle counts.
• Operate basic hand tools and measuring instruments as needed.
• Support warehouse organization and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with team members to improve workflows and efficiency.
• Performs other duties assigned by manager
  
  

Your Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of SAP or similar ERP experience in a warehouse environment.
• Basic understanding of warehouse procedures: receiving, shipping, inventory control.
• Strong math and measurement skills.
• Familiarity with hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of material maintenance, product codes, kitting, and production orders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the U.S. and have valid US work authorization.

The total compensation for this position is $20-24 per hour. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
