DevOps engineer works closely with Research & Development, Testing, Quality Assurance and Production Department providing support for development and deployment tools, virtual environment, in-house products systems setup, configuration, monitoring, load testing etc. You will drive continuous process improvement and increase the efficiency and quality of our CI/CD framework. You will identify and implement creative ways to monitor and reduce Software Quality Assurance cycle times and accelerate adoption of Continuous Integration best practices.

Your tasks

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications, microservices, or backend systems;
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following software engineering best practices;
• Architect scripts covering various needs of the team;
• Implement automation of recurrent tasks through scripting;
• Maintain documentation regarding configurations, operations and troubleshooting procedures;
• Setup/administration of network equipment, vm, products;
• Monitor systems and identify patterns that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of a product or service and drive them out of the system through automation or other technical innovations.
  
  

Your Qualifications

• University degree in Electronics, Computer Science or similar education
• 5 years experience in similar roles;
• Expert level Python programming skills;
• Being able to architect and document code covering specific needs of the team;
• Very good knowledge on Linux OS administration;
• Very good knowledge on TCP/IP networking concepts;
• Knowledge about virtual machines and containers;
• Knowledge on SQL and/or PostgreSQL databases;
• Proficiency using versioning tools (Git, SVN), experience working with CI/CD concepts and methodologies, Kubernetes;
• Experience with Infrastructure as a code, Ansible, yaml, orchestration;
• Knowledge about product lifecycle and software release;
• Essential documentation/technical writing skills;
• Experience working on AGILE/Scrum methodologies – is a plus;
• Essential English skills – German is a plus;
• Minimal security concepts for infrastructure (network, application, certification) – also a plus;
