We're seeking a Procurement Contracts Manager to join our growing Procurement Team! This important position plays an integral role in negotiating and managing supplier-facing contracts. The ideal candidate will have the potential to grow into a larger role as the department continues its expansion. This position can be based from either our US headquarters in Columbia, MD or our Production Integration facility in Coppell, TX.

The total compensation for this position is $90K-$126K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.

Your tasks
- Lead contract negotiations with suppliers and service providers to secure favorable terms and conditions, pricing, and service level agreements.
- Ensure contracts align with company strategies, objectives, and risk tolerance.
- Identify and proactively address potential contract risks and develop mitigation strategies with Procurement Management.
- Actively monitor contract performance tracking key parameters and obligations.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, prime contract flowdowns and industry standards.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure contract terms meet their needs and comply with internal policies.
- Maintain good working relationships with vendors and manufacturers.
- Maintain and enhance operational procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Paralegal or equivalent work experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
- 3+ years of experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field. Demonstrated experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts.
- Strong understanding of contract law principles and proven negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of purchasing-relevant relationships/cost structure.
- Experience with SAP is preferred.
- Experience with a Contract Lifecycle Management tool is preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Office software skills
- Ability to work on multiple tasks involved in a fast-paced work environment
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
- Detail oriented and organized, advanced analytical and good problem-solving skills
- Effective oral and written communication skills for customer/vendor relations and interfaces
- Able to achieve work results with minimal supervision
