Rohde & Schwarz is looking for a dynamic, technical Manager / Project Manager to join our Coppell, TX office. This role offers the perfect balance of strategic leadership, mentorship and technical expertise, where you’ll support the sales, planning, and execution for a variety of system engineering projects and lead a team of Project Managers. You’ll be at the forefront of driving project success and interfacing with key departments across our USA and global organizations. Reporting to the Director of Applied Systems Organization, you’ll have the chance to both manage a diverse portfolio of commercial and government customer projects along with managing a team of Project Managers. Although the position is remote, we’re seeking only candidates within a commutable distance to the Coppell, TX office for frequent in-person meetings. Your tasks
- Manage the PM organization – manager for small team of Project Managers for a growing and diverse System Engineering team delivering customer facing – system engineering projects
- Project Management execution – actively project manage planning and execution of large complex System Engineering projects to meet customer’s and internal stakeholders’ requirements & expectations
- Grow the PM organization – develop and grow the Project Management organization for support of Customer projects, Profitability, Processes, Resource Management, Risk, Planning, Strategic growth and development
- Work collaboratively with across the organization - sales, system architecture and engineering, design, mechanical engineering, production, order management, procurement and contracts
- Develop presentations and reporting - Project Status Reporting
- Support new sales proposals and quotations - Statements of Work, Risk Analysis, SOW Task Estimates, etc.
- Domestic and/or Overseas Travel <10-15%

Your qualifications
- US Citizenship is required
- PMP Certification is required
- BA/BS: Engineering or equivalent technical degree is required
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in customer-fronting Project Management for System Engineering projects
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience with people management
- Experience with Government project execution is a plus
- High Level understanding of Test and Measurement, EMC/OTA or RF type projects is a plus
- Exceptional internal and external customer management and customer service skills
- Ability to create well organized clear presentation of information (Emails, Word, PowerPoint, Dashboards)
- In order to be considered, candidates must reside in the US and have US citizenship.

We are looking forward to receiving your application!The total compensation for this position is $118K-$158K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
