Systems Engineering : Systems Engineering Manager - Columbia, MD

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineering Manager to support our growing communications system business within the technology systems market. The preferred work location for this position is Columbia/MD.
Your tasks
- Manage and lead a high functioning systems engineering team
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Program Management, and Production
- Align Sale opportunities with engineering support priorities
- Manage the presales, design, integration, and deployment systems / subsystems for R&S spectrum intelligence projects (Satellite Intelligence, ELINT, Spectrum Monitoring)
- Lead efforts for creating and maintaining technical documentation according to customer requirements.
- Translate customer needs into requirements and competitive solutions maximizing R&S content.
- Prepare regular reports on project progress, issues encountered, and resolutions implemented.
- Participate in communication with customers and R&S product design team.
- Work closely with the product engineering teams based in Europe and North America.

Your qualifications
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or relevant engineering degree.
- First experience with systems for critical infrastructure customers.
- Proficient in relevant business tools including MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint.
- Experience with requirement management processes and tools.
- Good technical writing skills.
- Good communication and customer interface skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to operate with considerable autonomy and minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, up to 30%.
- US citizen capable of receiving a US Government security clearance.

We are looking forward to receiving your application!The total compensation for this position is $160K-$215K. Total compensation includes base salary, variable pay (when applicable) plus benefits. The range is determined by the position, geographic location and level. Individual pay within the range is determined by several factors including location, education or training, relevant work history, sales incentive structure and job-related skills.
