We are seeking a skilled Manager, Data Engineering with experience in Python, SQL, and cloud infrastructure, particularly Databricks and Azure. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data pipelines and systems to ensure data integrity, quality, and availability. We are open to hire for our Calgary, Vancouver, Montreal or Greater Toronto Area Location.

What you will do:

  • Design and implement data architecture and ETL processes.
  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines in Databricks.
  • Write efficient SQL queries for data retrieval and analysis.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements.
  • Monitor and optimize the performance of data systems.
  • Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and telecom technology.

What you will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation.
  • Strong SQL skills, with experience in writing complex queries.
  • Experience working on large projects with version control (GitHub)
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Databricks and Azure.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and big data technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge of data governance practices.
  • Knowledge of telecom systems, network infrastructure, and data protocols.
