Job Description
We are seeking a Design Implementation Staff Engineer responsible for RTL implementation, integration, and sign‑off quality delivery of Automotive MCUs.
In this role, you will participate in the full front‑end (FE) design flow, from specification review through RTL coding, synthesis, timing/power closure, and close collaboration with verification, DFT, and backend teams. The engineer is also expected to drive design quality, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to methodology and reuse improvement across MCU products
Key Responsibilities
Perform RTL coding, integration, and configuration at block, subsystem, or chip‑top level
Ensure design complies with automotive quality, safety, and low‑power requirements
Analyze and optimize performance, area, and power (PPA)
Support low‑power design techniques
Review design against specs, DFMEA, and design guidelines
Support design reviews and sign‑off decisions
Support debug and root‑cause analysis of design issues across simulation, emulation, and silicon bring‑up
Communicate effectively with global teams
Contribute to methodology improvement, design reuse, and automation
Act as technical owner for assigned IPs or design areas
Qualifications
Experience:
5-7+ years of experience in MCU / SoC front‑end design and implementation
Technical Skills
Proven experience in Automotive MCU development is strongly preferred
Strong knowledge of RTL design using Verilog / SystemVerilog
Solid understanding of MCU architecture and system integration
Hands‑on experience with EDA tools
Experience with timing closure, clock/reset design, and low‑power techniques
Familiarity with functional safety or security concepts (ISO 26262 / ISO‑SAE 21434 is a plus)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience owning IP from spec to silicon
Knowledge of DFT concepts and backend constraints
Scripting skills for flow automation
Experience working in multi‑site global development teams
Soft Skills
Strong ownership and accountability
Clear and structured technical communication
Ability to coach and influence without formal authority
Comfortable working in fast‑paced, multi‑project environments
