Summer 2026 Intern - May - August -12 weeks
Our System and Solutions team is looking for a talented industrial/systems engineering or electrical engineering student to join our team this Summer as an Applications Engineering Intern. Our team works on complete solutions for target market and customer applications, maximizing Renesas content in our designs and proof-of-concept boards. The successful candidate will work directly with their mentor and the team manager during their internship. An intern working with the team can expect to learn Renesas embedded system designs and how they are being implemented, both from a hardware and software perspective during their time with our team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyze current application designs and create proof-of-concept plans utilizing the latest Renesas products
- Create schematics and implement a HW design in Altium
- Develop SW to run the designed proof-of-concept
- Create presentations and documentation to share data and ideas across a global team
Qualifications

- Currently pursuing a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a similar field
- Strong organizational and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with designing embedded systems
- Familiarity with Altium is a plus
