Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager in Information Technology for our AI, Data & Analytics department, based in Ho Chi Minh City. The ideal candidate will oversee a diverse team comprising AI Developers, Data Engineers and Scientists, Full-Stack engineers, and other related roles, and report directly to the Director of AI. We are looking for an energetic manager who is passionate about all things AI and data, with a proven record of developing and expanding high-performing teams within the technology sector

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire teams of AI Developers, Data Engineers, and analytics professionals to deliver innovative solutions.
• Steer the strategic direction of AI and data initiatives to align with business objectives.
• Foster a culture of growth, ensuring opportunities for ongoing development and learning for all team members.
• Work closely with the Director of AI to set departmental goals, priorities, and allocate resources effectively.
• Enforce best practices in project management, software development, and data engineering throughout the department.
• Manage recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluations for team members.
• Champion cross-functional collaboration with IT, business, and product teams.
• Stay abreast of emerging trends in AI, data analytics, and technology to shape team strategy and capabilities.
• Oversee departmental budgets and drive operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years’ experience in IT, with at least 7 years in a managerial capacity overseeing technical teams.
• Significant experience managing teams of 30 to 60 members.
• Proven success in leading teams focused on AI, data engineering, or analytics projects.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• Demonstrated ability in recruiting, developing, and retaining top technical talent.
• Comprehensive understanding of AI technologies, data platforms, and cloud infrastructure. Experience with Azure and Databricks preferred.
• Experience in defining departmental strategy and leading organizational change.
• Fluency in both Vietnamese and English is required.
• Japanese language proficiency is not required but strongly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background working in multinational or matrixed organizations.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern software development practices.
• Hands-on experience with AI/ML frameworks, big data platforms, and analytics tools.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
