The Digital Transformation Specialist will lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise automation, analytics, and application frameworks across the organization. The incumbent will utilize tools such as Power Platform, Power BI, and Microsoft Fabric to deliver scalable business solutions that replace manual workflows, improve data integrity, and drive cross-departmental efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Transformation Engineer, who builds APIs, pipelines, and databases — ensuring both front-end and back-end layers integrate seamlessly within a unified digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement enterprise-grade digital solution using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), following governance and best practices
- Develop scalable app architectures that integrate into SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and API endpoints designed by the Engineering team
- Create reusable components, connectors, and templates to ensure consistent app development across the organization
- Define and implement role-based security, error handling, and version control for Power Platform assets
- Partner with the Digital Transformation Engineer to define data models, endpoints, and schemas that support automated processes
- Leverage Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows, Lakehouse, Warehouse) for centralized data access and reporting
- Build and maintain Power BI semantic models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring alignment with key operational and strategic KPI’s
- Design and automate workflows for approvals, notifications, and system integrations/synchronization (ERP, SQL, API’s, Fabric)
- Establish development standards, documentation, and lifecycle management practices for digital assets
- Train and mentor end users in Power Platform tools to foster a self-service digital culture
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Quality) to identify opportunities for digital transformation
- Translate identified process challenges into scalable digital solutions that deliver measurable ROI
- Contribute to the organization’s overall digital roadmap and modernization strategy
Education & Experience:
- 1+ year experience in related field considered an asset and/or
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Additional Qualifications
- Knowledge and use of MS Office suite and data management tools considered a strong asset
- High level of professional ethics and conduct
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills
- Demonstrated ability in analytical thinking and decision making
- Ability to utilize commonly accepted information systems and develop new processes to achieve continuous improvement
- Sharing in a team-based environment and providing knowledge transfer when required
- Ability to prioritize and complete work in a timely fashion; this is a fast-paced quick turnaround environment
