About the role

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Project Engineer to drive facilities-related projects from initial design through operational readiness. In this role, you will coordinate across engineering, construction, and operations to ensure new builds and facility upgrades are delivered on schedule, within budget, and fully prepared for safe, efficient use. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, clear communication skills, and a commitment to enhancing overall facility performance.

This role is not currently sponsoring visas or considering international movement at this time.

Your responsibilities

  • Project Planning & Execution – Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and risk management plans for facility upgrades, expansions, and new builds.
  • Design Coordination – Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure designs meet operational, safety, and compliance requirements.
  • Operational Readiness – Lead the development of a Facility Readiness plan to Support startup activities including commissioning and integration into SOP, PM, and QMS frameworks. Develop facilities turnover plan for the Wilson facility operations team, coordinating CQ system completion and closeout. Support the organized summary and procurement of auxiliary equipment and supplies required for the operational startup of the facility.
  • Asset Reliabilty – Lead the development of a Reliability plan for project Asset installation and turnover, including maintenance plans, spare parts philosophy, calibration plans, asset registry plan and data entry into site CMMS.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Serve as the primary liaison between engineering, facility operations, and maintenance including shutdown coordination and system turnover readiness. Responsible to collaborate with and include the Vertical Start Up (VSU) leader actions and deliverables defined during design and construction to ensure successful turnover.
  • Compliance & Safety – Ensure all projects adhere to relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to enhance facility performance, energy efficiency, and operational workflows.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering (or related field).
  • 3–7 years of experience in project engineering, facilities management, or industrial operations.
  • Proven track record in delivering capital projects from concept to operational handover.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, utilities, and commissioning processes.
  • Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and CAD software.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, healthcare, or mission-critical facilities.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with ability to lead cross-functional coordination.
  • Understanding of project execution lifecycle and ability to drive results across diverse teams.

US salary ranges

USD $115,000.00 - $173,000.00

Hiring Range up to 130K

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
