About the role

Reckitt’s Sustainability Reporting & Communications team is responsible for producing Reckitt’s sustainability disclosures and communications at a group level. The Climate Transition Programme Manager will contribute significantly to our climate reporting endeavours by programme managing our climate transition activity, working cross-functionally to coordinate and drive workstream activity to deliver our Net Zero ambition.

The role has responsibility for driving all project management activities relating to climate transition plan preparations in support of our Net Zero by 2040 ambition and 2030 short term goals. You will uphold and maintain the programme standards by managing project plans and supporting the project team to identify and manage risks, changes and opportunities.

Your responsibilities

You will be responsible to drive and lead all project management activities in relation to climate transition plan for in time and in budget project delivery:

  • Act as the connector between key functions (R&D, procurement, CGO, finance, sustainability) and programme workstreams to collaborate, create and subsequently drive the project plan delivery
  • Align the sequence of activities required to deliver key milestones
  • Work with the teams to identify key dependencies within and external to the programme, ensuring these are baked into the plan, communicated to wider programme stakeholders, and managed on a day-to-day basis to ensure they are met / flagging where there is risk of non-delivery
  • Scope and lead workshops / provide updates and presentation materials to governance forums to enable decision making. Establish communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed and aligned on goals
  • Scenario planning: analyse impact of change of scope on project timeline and budget. Collaborating with the finance lead on updating project costs and highlighting concerns
  • Proactive risk & issue management
  • Tracking of key actions and proactive driving of these to closure, including weekly progress vs. plan status reporting
  • Coordinate the set-up of Steercos and/or programme leadership meetings required at key decision points

The experience we're looking for

  • Project management experience in Climate and Sustainability field, ideally of large-scale transformation programmes that span functions
  • Understanding of data, technical terminology and planning tools, preferably relating to ESG
  • Familiarity with climate transition principles and Transition Plan Taskforce Disclosure Framework
  • Project delivery experience using hybrid agile methodology, conversant with approaches like Scrum, Kanban etc and using JIRA as delivery management tool
  • Ability to see bigger picture and identify interdependencies within and across workstreams
  • MS Project experience and PMP/Prince2 certified
  • Strong project management experience with proven analytical abilities and attention to detail
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement skills. Experience of working across all levels of the business, managing stakeholders with competing priorities
